  • Which areas do you deliver?
    We deliver to Town (Salt River, Woodstock,Parden Eiland, CBD); Southern Suburbs (Rondebosch, Wynberg, Constantia, Tokai, Pinelands); Atlantic Seaboard (Seapoint, Greenpoint, Camps Bay); West Coast (Milnerton, Blouberg, Century City); Northern Suburbs (Belville, Parow, Goodwood). We deliver outside of these areas if you are ordering for a corporate meal service or frozen meals with a minimum of R500. Please contact us to inquire as our online ordering will not let you place an order outside of the 20km radius.
  • Do you deliver all the meals in one day?
    No, we make the meals fresh on each day. And will deliver each meal on each separate day (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday).
  • What days do you deliver?
    We deliver Monday to Friday. We are closed Saturday and Sunday, however if you would like to request service please let us know and we will be more than happy to make it happen.
  • Can I collect/ pickup?
    Yes, you can collect from out Kitchen: 143 Albert Road, Woodstock, Cape Town. Typing Kitchen Republik in Google or Google Maps will provide you with directions.
  • How do I go about placing my order?
    You can place your order online. Visiting the page: Simply add your meal(s) to the cart, select check out and fill out your order and delivery information. You will then be able to select your preferred payment method and complete your payment to confirm your order. You will receive an email confirming your order.
  • When will my order be delivered?
    You are able to select your delivery time upon placing your order. You will be sent a real-time sms notification when the driver has started your delivery with a link where you can track your delivery. Please note, we do not deliver between the hours of 16:00 and 18:30 due to very heavy traffic during these times.
  • Are you Halaal
    We are Halaal friendly but we are not Halaal certified.
  • How big are your portions?
    We pride ourselves on very generous portion sizes. You are most likely going to have some for the next day. Single (450g - 800g) - feeds 1 Couple (900g - 1.6kg) - feeds 2-3 Family (1.8kg - 3.2kg) - feeds 4-6
  • What dietary requirements do you cater for?
    We cater for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, keto, carb free and banting diets. We change our menu each week and will have a meal to accommodate each type of diet. You can always put dietary requirements in the order notes and we will make it happen :)
  • Can I order for more than one day?
    Yes, you may order for as many days of the week as you wish and you will only be charged the one delivery fee. A friendly reminder that your food will be made fresh each
  • Is there a minimum I need to order?
    There is no minimum order for pickup. Minimum order for delivery are as follows: There is a minimum order of R65 of you are 10km away. There is a minimum order of R80 of you are 15km away. There is a minimum order of R160 of you are 20km away.
  • What is the special dish of the week?
    Each week we run a special dish of the week. It is the dish we most recommend and one which is often discounted
  • When do I have to place my order by?
    We are a pre-order food delivery business. We limit our orders each day and are not an on demand food delivery business like Deliveroo or Orderin. You will need to place your order at least 2 hours before. We encourage you to order in advance in order to avoid disappointment of selling out, particularly with our popular dishes.
  • Is the food delivered frozen?
    No. The food is delivered ready to heat and eat. We do have a Frozen Meal section that you are most welcome to order from. These will arrive frozen.
  • Can the food be frozen?
    Yes, the food can be frozen and enjoyed on a later date.
  • Does the food arrive hot?
    No, the food arrives and is best served after heating it up in the oven or microwave.
  • Are the containers microwaveable?
    No, the containers are non-microwaveable. For reheating we suggest that customers place it in the oven or dish it in a bowl or on a plate and then in the microwave.
  • How much is the delivery fee?
    Delivery fee is dependent on the distance from Salt Orchid, Salt River: R15 < 10km R35 >10km < 15km R60 > 15km < 25km
